Plot Summary

Set in the year 2018, after Judgment Day has already occurred, humanity is locked in a brutal war against the machines. Skynet has seized control of the world, deploying relentless armies to exterminate the remaining human resistance. Amid the ruins of civilization, a small but determined group of survivors continues to fight back against annihilation.

At the center of this resistance stands John Connor (Christian Bale), a hardened leader who believes firmly in humanity’s eventual victory. His certainty is shaken by the sudden appearance of a mysterious stranger, Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a man who remembers death row and imprisonment but cannot explain how he arrived in this devastated future. As the war intensifies, Connor and Marcus form an uneasy alliance to confront Skynet directly.
