Plot Summary

After witnessing the horrifying deaths of two friends only days apart, Beth Raymond (Shannyn Sossamon) is left deeply traumatized. What disturbs her most is that both victims had received eerie voice messages on their cell phones shortly before they died. In these messages, they could hear recordings of their own final moments—messages that appeared to arrive days before the deaths actually occurred.

Although the police dismiss Beth’s claims as the result of psychological stress, Detective Jack Andrews (Edward Burns) believes there may be truth behind her story. His interest is personal: his own sister died in a similarly mysterious accident. Determined to uncover the truth, Beth and Jack begin investigating the chilling pattern of deaths linked to these supernatural phone calls.

As they get closer to revealing the dark secret behind the deadly messages, the curse tightens its grip. Beth’s own cellphone suddenly rings with the same ominous tone, and the screen displays the words “One Missed Call.” Now she must confront the terrifying possibility that her own fate has already been recorded.
