Plot Summary

On a sweltering summer morning in Missouri, Nick and Amy Dunne are preparing to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary. The day takes a chilling turn when Amy suddenly disappears without a trace. As hours pass and she fails to return home, suspicion quickly falls on her husband, Nick, whose calm demeanor and contradictory statements begin to unsettle both the police and the public.

Nick’s own mind becomes an unreliable witness. Haunted by disturbing dreams in which he brutally murders his wife, he struggles to separate guilt from fear.
