Plot Summary

Babygirl centers on the dangerously seductive unraveling of power, desire, and control when a high-profile CEO begins a forbidden affair with her much younger intern—an entanglement that threatens to dismantle both her career and her family.

Romy (Nicole Kidman) is a formidable business executive who appears to have everything under control, yet her private life tells a different story. Emotionally and sexually unfulfilled, her marriage to theater director Jacob (Antonio Banderas) has grown cold and distant. Longing for intensity and disruption, Romy finds herself drawn into unfamiliar emotional territory with the arrival of Samuel (Harris Dickinson), a new intern whose defiant confidence and unsettling directness awaken desires she has long suppressed.

What begins as a subtle power shift soon escalates into a perilous psychological game. When their connection crosses an irreversible line during a clandestine hotel meeting, neither fully comprehends the rules of the relationship they have entered. As boundaries erode and control slips away, Romy faces the devastating possibility of losing everything she has built—professionally, personally, and morally.

Blending erotic tension with psychological depth, Babygirl offers a provocative exploration of intimacy, dominance, and vulnerability, questioning how far desire can push an individual before identity and power collapse.
