Story Overview

Set in the remote town of Alaska, 30 Days of Night unfolds in Barrow, a place that is plunged into total darkness for an entire month each winter. While most residents flee south to escape the harsh conditions, a small group remains behind—unaware that they are about to become prey.

As darkness takes hold, a mysterious and ruthless group emerges, using the endless night as cover to hunt the remaining townspeople. Sheriff Eben (Josh Hartnett) and his estranged wife Stella (Melissa George) must put aside their differences and lead a dwindling band of survivors against an overwhelming and relentless threat.

With time working against them and hope fading with each passing night, the survivors are forced into a brutal fight for survival. The film delivers a chilling blend of isolation, suspense, and visceral horror, capturing the terrifying consequences of being trapped in a world where the sun simply never rises.
