Steve Ballmer is the son of Frederic Henry Ballmer, a Swiss immigrant, and Beatrice Dworkin, an American Jewish woman. Between 1964 and 1967, he lived in Brussels, where he attended the International School of Brussels.
He studied at Farmington Hills High School in Michigan and later at Detroit Country Day School.
