Story Overview

X-Men introduces a world where mutants—humans born with extraordinary abilities—are feared and rejected by society.

Cyclops (James Marsden) can project powerful energy beams from his eyes, while Storm (Halle Berry) has the ability to manipulate weather and atmospheric conditions at will. Rogue (Anna Paquin) absorbs the life force and memories of anyone she touches, making human contact both dangerous and tragic for her.

Under the guidance of Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), these gifted outcasts learn to control their powers and use them for the benefit of humanity. However, their greatest challenge emerges in the form of the ruthless Magneto (Ian McKellen), who believes that peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants is impossible.

As fear escalates and tensions rise, the X-Men must protect a world that hates and fears them—while exposing the true face of evil before it is too late.
