The unexpected occupants are young immigrants who were unknowingly deceived by a housing scam. Initially cautious and distant, Walter gradually begins to form an unlikely bond with them. Through shared moments and growing trust, their presence slowly begins to break through the emotional barriers Walter has built around himself for years.

As these new relationships deepen, Walter finds himself rediscovering curiosity, empathy, and a sense of purpose he thought he had lost. The film delicately explores themes of immigration, belonging, and human connection, portraying how encounters between people from different cultures can transform lives. Through Walter’s quiet personal awakening, the story offers a poignant reflection on loneliness, compassion, and the unexpected ways people can change one another.
