Story Overview

The Snowman follows Detective Harry Hole, portrayed by Michael Fassbender, as he investigates the disappearance of a woman on the day the season’s first snowfall begins. Shortly afterward, her body is discovered, and the only clue left behind is a snowman wrapped in the victim’s pink scarf. As more women are murdered and similar snowmen continue to appear at the crime scenes, Hole realizes he is hunting a highly dangerous and methodical serial killer.

With each new case, the pattern becomes clearer and the stakes grow higher. The killer’s chilling signature suggests a mind that thrives on fear and symbolism, forcing Hole to race against time before more lives are lost. As the investigation deepens, the detective must confront both the darkness of the crimes and his own troubled past.

The Snowman is adapted from the 2007 novel *Snømannen* by Norwegian author Jo Nesbø, a bestselling crime thriller that has also been translated into Turkish. Blending psychological tension with a cold, atmospheric setting, the film explores obsession, guilt, and the terrifying consequences of unresolved trauma.
