Plot Summary

The Mountain Between Us follows journalist Alex Martin (Kate Winslet) and neurosurgeon Ben Bass (Idris Elba), who find themselves stranded at Boise Airport due to a severe snowstorm in Idaho. With Ben needing to perform an urgent surgery the next day and Alex determined to reach her wedding on time, they decide to charter a small private plane to continue their journey.

Tragedy strikes when the aircraft crashes deep in a remote, snow-covered mountain range. Though both survive with relatively minor injuries, they soon realize they are completely isolated, miles away from any sign of human life. With harsh weather conditions, limited supplies, and no immediate hope of rescue, Alex and Ben must embark on a perilous journey across unforgiving terrain.

As days turn into weeks, survival becomes a test not only of physical endurance but also of trust. Two strangers, bound by circumstance, are forced to rely on one another to face extreme cold, wild animals, and their own inner fears.
