Plot Summary

The Da Vinci Code follows renowned Harvard symbologist Dr. Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks), whose stay in Paris is abruptly interrupted by a late-night call from the police. He is summoned to the Louvre Museum, where the curator has been found murdered under mysterious circumstances, leaving behind a series of cryptic symbols and clues deliberately staged at the crime scene.

For police captain Bezou Fache (Jean Reno), Langdon is not merely an expert consultant but also the prime suspect. As suspicion tightens, Langdon unexpectedly finds an ally in Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou), a gifted cryptographer and the granddaughter of the murdered curator.
