Plot Summary

Former government operative Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) has left behind a dangerous career in order to live closer to his teenage daughter Kim (Maggie Grace). Despite his efforts to rebuild their relationship after years of absence, Bryan remains deeply protective of her, aware of the threats that exist beyond the safe world she believes in.

When Kim travels to Paris with a friend, a nightmare quickly unfolds. A ruthless criminal network specializing in human trafficking targets young tourists, and Kim becomes one of their victims. Helplessly listening over the phone as the kidnapping happens, Bryan realizes that every second counts. With limited clues and only his old intelligence skills to rely on, he prepares to track down those responsible.

Determined to rescue his daughter before it is too late, Bryan travels from Los Angeles to Paris, launching a relentless pursuit through the city’s criminal underworld. Using the deadly skills from his former life, he begins dismantling the trafficking operation piece by piece. As the search intensifies, Bryan confronts not only ruthless enemies but also the buried instincts and ruthless efficiency he once tried to leave behind.

Driven by fierce paternal determination, Bryan wages a brutal one-man campaign against the organization holding Kim captive. In the process, he discovers that the love of a father can be the most powerful force of all—capable of pushing a man beyond fear, beyond limits, and into a fight where failure is simply not an option.
