Story Overview

Sex Tape follows Annie and Jay, a married couple with two children who appear happy and stable on the surface. Like many long-term relationships, however, their marriage has gradually lost its initial passion, and their intimacy has settled into an unsatisfying routine. Feeling the emotional and physical distance between them, Annie searches for a way to reignite their connection.

In an attempt to bring excitement back into their relationship, Annie suggests recording a private video of themselves, believing the experiment will help them reconnect. Jay agrees, and the night turns out to be surprisingly successful, reminding them of the chemistry they once shared. Yet their moment of rediscovered closeness is quickly overshadowed by an unexpected and disastrous mistake.

The tablet used to record the video automatically syncs with other devices using the same account, sending the footage to friends, acquaintances, and family members without their knowledge. By the time Annie and Jay realize what has happened, it is already too late to undo the damage remotely.

What follows is a frantic, comedic race against time as the couple sets out to retrieve and delete every copy of the video, no matter the cost or embarrassment involved. As they navigate escalating chaos and uncomfortable confrontations, Annie and Jay are forced to confront not only the consequences of modern technology but also the realities of trust, vulnerability, and communication within their marriage.
