Story Overview

Meg 2: The Trench follows an elite research team as they descend into the deepest and most dangerous regions of the ocean, only to face an unprecedented threat from multiple prehistoric mega sharks known as Megs. What begins as a scientific mission quickly spirals out of control when a ruthless illegal mining operation sabotages their expedition, leaving the team trapped in an unforgiving underwater nightmare.

Led by seasoned deep-sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham), the crew must rely on intelligence, teamwork, and raw survival instincts as they battle colossal predators and human adversaries alike. As time runs out, their journey turns into absolute chaos, pushing each member to their physical and psychological limits while the ocean itself becomes a relentless enemy.
