I, Frankenstein (2014)

Official Trailer

Plot Summary

Drawing inspiration from one of literature’s most enduring myths, I, Frankenstein shifts its focus away from the familiar tragedy of its creator and instead centers on the creature himself. Adam, the being brought to life by Dr. Victor Frankenstein, has survived for nearly two centuries without purpose, drifting through the shadows of human history in isolation and anonymity.

His existence takes a dramatic turn when he finds himself caught in the middle of an ancient, hidden war between Gargoyles and Demons. Both factions seek to uncover the secret of Adam’s immortality, believing it to be the key to ultimate domination. Unwillingly thrust into this supernatural conflict, Adam becomes the most coveted weapon in a battle that threatens the fate of humanity itself.

As the war escalates, Adam begins to understand that his unnatural life may hold a higher purpose. He is the sole being capable of tipping the balance and preventing the annihilation of humankind. What was once a curse becomes a responsibility, forcing him to confront questions of identity, free will, and belonging.

The story traces its roots back to Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus, the landmark novel published in 1818 by Mary Shelley. Since its first cinematic adaptation in 1910, the Frankenstein myth has been reinterpreted countless times. This modern reimagining, written and directed by Stuart Beattie, redefines the legend as a high-energy fantasy epic, blending gothic mythology with contemporary action-driven storytelling.
