Plot Summary

Edward Scissorhands tells the poignant story of Edward (Johnny Depp), an artificial man created by an eccentric inventor who dies before completing his work, leaving Edward unfinished and alone. With scissors instead of hands, Edward grows up isolated in a dark mansion, cut off from human society and emotional connection.

His lonely existence changes when Peg (Winona Ryder), a kind-hearted woman, discovers him and brings him into her suburban home. For the first time, Edward is introduced to everyday life—neighbors, routines, and the warmth of human interaction—while struggling to adapt to a world not designed for someone like him.
