Plot Summary

On the eve of his wedding, straight-laced lawyer Jason Kelly (Zac Efron) finds himself reluctantly dragged into an unexpected spring break adventure with his foul-mouthed, recently widowed grandfather Dick (Robert De Niro), a retired army general with a wildly unapologetic outlook on life. What begins as a simple road trip quickly turns into a chaotic journey toward Florida, filled with outrageous encounters and moral dilemmas.

As the trip spirals further out of control, Jason is pushed far beyond his comfort zone and forced to confront suppressed desires, doubts about his impending marriage, and the rigid life path he has chosen.
