Bewitched (2005)

Official Trailer

Plot Summary

Ego-driven Hollywood star Jack Wyatt (Will Ferrell) is determined to reclaim his fading spotlight by rebooting a beloved classic television series. Obsessed with controlling the narrative and positioning himself as the undeniable center of attention, Jack searches for an unknown actress who will never overshadow him. His carefully calculated plan seems to fall into place when he encounters Isabel Bigelow (Nicole Kidman), a charming and seemingly ordinary woman whose natural innocence perfectly fits his vision.

What Jack does not realize is that Isabel is, in fact, a real witch who has deliberately chosen a quiet, mortal life away from magic. As production moves forward, Isabel’s sincerity and warmth begin to clash with Jack’s narcissism and manipulative instincts. Her attempts to adapt to Hollywood’s artificial world slowly unravel as Jack’s self-centered behavior tests her patience and challenges her principles.

When Isabel finally confronts the reality of Jack’s ego and emotional immaturity, the balance of power shifts. Magic, once restrained, becomes a subtle instrument of reckoning. Through irony, romance, and gentle satire, Bewitched explores the illusion of control in fame-driven relationships, blending classic fantasy elements with a modern Hollywood love story that questions who truly holds the power—those in the spotlight, or those who choose to step out of it.
