Plot Summary

Set in a near-future England ruled by a totalitarian fascist regime, V for Vendetta unfolds amid a series of audacious and symbolic terrorist attacks that shake the foundations of the state. The government maintains absolute control through fear, surveillance, and propaganda, leaving the population silenced and obedient.

One night, Evey Hammond (Natalie Portman), an ordinary young woman, is harassed by secret police while walking home. She is unexpectedly rescued by a mysterious masked stranger known only as V.
