Plot Summary

The Trust follows two Los Angeles Police Department evidence-room officers, Jim Stone (Nicolas Cage) and David Waters (Elijah Wood), whose monotonous routine is disrupted by an unexpected discovery. While cataloging seized assets, Stone comes across a bail receipt linked to a powerful drug lord, suggesting the existence of a massive hidden cash reserve.

Driven by curiosity and the lure of easy money, the two officers begin quietly investigating the origin of the funds.
