Plot Summary

King Arthur (2004) reimagines the legendary tale through a grounded, historical lens, stripping away much of the traditional fantasy in favor of political tension, cultural conflict, and the collapse of imperial power.

Set nearly 1,600 years ago, in the aftermath of the fall of Roma İmparatorluğu, shifting power dynamics across Avrupa begin to reshape the fate of Britanya. Roman authority fades, leaving the island divided between remnants of imperial rule, native tribes clinging to pagan beliefs, the growing influence of Hristiyanlık, and relentless invasions by northern barbarians.

Amid this fractured world stands Arthur, a Roman-trained military commander bound by duty yet torn between obedience and conscience. Alongside his loyal Knights, Arthur faces not only external threats but also moral dilemmas that question loyalty, freedom, and the true meaning of leadership.
