Kaia Gerber, whose full name is Kaia Jordan Gerber, was born on September 3, 2001, in Los Angeles, California, United States. She is the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, and has an older brother named Presley Gerber. Her father is of Russian-Jewish descent, while her mother has German, English, French, and Danish roots and is Christian. In a 2018 interview, Gerber explained her multicultural upbringing:

“My dad is Jewish and my mom is Christian, so I grew up learning about both; we call it Chrismukah. I love learning both sides of my life. We would cook for Passover and Yom Kippur. I loved learning all of it and learning how to cook.”

Kaia Gerber began her modeling career at the age of 10 with Gianni Versace’s junior line, Young Versace. She attended Malibu High School through online courses while balancing her education with her early professional career.
