Plot Summary

Set two decades after the events of Independence Day, Independence Day: Resurgence imagines a world that has rebuilt itself using salvaged alien technology. Humanity, united by the trauma of the first invasion, has transformed extraterrestrial wreckage into the backbone of a massive global defense program designed to protect Earth from any future threat.
